"Today was the first day of school. I got the teacher who I wanted. Her name is Mrs. Hershey. My favorite thing is reading and writing, recess and lunch. My new principal took away the chocolate milk at lunch. I hate it, but my mom loves it. I like most of the kids in my class, but I wish two of them were not there. I think I am going to get good grades this year. We don't get our red homework folders until next week, which means we don't have any homework! I am already done with the homework we got at the open house and it isn't due until next Friday. I LOVE MY SCHOOL!"
